About Epson Portland Inc.
Epson Portland Inc. (EPI) is the U.S.-based manufacturing subsidiary of Japan’s Seiko Epson Corporation (SEC). Historically, EPI manufactured printers. From its opening day in July of 1986 until August of 2001, EPI built over 15 million dot matrix and ink jet printers for business, government and personal use. Epson Imaging Technology Center (EITC), an engineering liaison for Epson research and design in Japan, with locations in San Jose, CA, and Bellevue, WA, is also part of EPI. EITC acts as liaison between the high-tech industry leaders in the U.S. to ensure Epson is current with industry trends in emerging markets.
